The Lord Reigns

"Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth." (1 Chronicles 16:31)

The Lord reigns. He's in control. He's supreme over all.
Shout it from the rooftops. Sing it in a song. Whisper it in a prayer.
There is no god like our God. He's our all in all. He's Lord of all.

We have been commissioned to tell it among the nations that the Lord reigns both now and throughout all of eternity. If the heavens be glad, if the earth rejoices, how much more should we be compelled to share the news that the Lord reigns.

Don’t be silent. Don’t be ashamed. Don’t let intimidation cause you to hide the fact that our God reigns in your life, in the world, and throughout all of creation.

Intimidation is a veil that hides our light. Matthew 5:16 reminds us, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” If we allow intimidation, backwardness, or self-doubt to silence us, we have hidden our light under the bushel rather than allowed our light to shine before men!

Accept the challenge to share what's in your heart and the Spirit of God will fill your mouth. Tell someone today. Don't let your lips be silent. Our God is worthy of our praise.

Father, again I stand in awe of your majesty and your grace. As the heavens declare your glory and the earth rejoices, Father, help me share my love for You with at least one other person today. I don't want to be silent anymore; I want to tell it to the nations that You, oh Lord, reign supreme over all, amen!

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
