Thank you so much for the overwhelming response to the tragic news coming from Haiti. Please watch this site for updates as we receive them regarding our team members at Helping for Christ in Carrefour.
To date, we have been unable to establish communication with Pastor Dicksent or any other team member on the ground in Haiti. We are receiving some pieces of information from other ground sources that have been very disheartening. One source has told us the devastation is so utter and complete that troops are being sent in to help with the handling of the deceased—the morgues are overflowing.
While we do not know specifically about HG-Haiti or Helping for Christ, we can be quite sure that we have a challenge ahead of us to help rebuild the lives of the children who have depended on this ministry for a place to live, for food, and for loving support.
Your continued prayers are coveted. We will do our best to keep you updated with what news we hear.
